No, seriously! My first job in radio was with a private radio station in Terrace in 1983. Since then I\u2019ve been a journalist in print, radio, television and the internet, all over Canada. In 1997 I started to specialize covering the food and travel scene in Canada and abroad.<\/p>\n<p>From 2006 to 2007, I lived in Colorno, Italy, near Parma. (yeah, home of Parmesan cheese and Parma ham) I earned a Masters of Food Culture at the University of Gastronomic Sciences, and if you click on this <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.dongenova.com\/category\/parma-palate-my-year-in-italy\/\">Parma Palate link<\/a> you can read about my adventures in Italy and some other gastronomic hot spots of Europe.<\/p>\n<p>My food journalism has been seen and heard on:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>CBC Radio andTelevision<\/li>\n<li>The Food Network<\/li>\n<li>National Public Radio in the U.S.<\/li>\n<li>The Globe and Mail<\/li>\n<li>The National Post<\/li>\n<li>BC Business Magazine<\/li>\n<li>Northwest Palate<\/li>\n<li>and Western Living, among others<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>I also teach courses in <a href=\"https:\/\/extendedlearning.ubc.ca\/courses\/food-travel-writing\/wg403\">freelance food and travel writing<\/a> at the University of British Columbia. I creates a feature called &#8216;Foodie Friday&#8217; for Russell Books in Victoria, in which I profile cookbooks and their authors.
